Come rain or shine, there was nothing that could dampen this beautiful rustic wedding in Tulum for Lizzy and Bart.
The happy couple chose the boho-chic beach club Akiin Tulum as their wedding venue, which perfectly complemented their natural, rustic theme. Tropical leaves, wood and macrame dominated their decor, while delicate white flowers gave a perfect flourish of femininity. Of course, the wedding also gave tiny nods to its Mexican location through creative details such as hand-painted maracas, tequila welcome shots, live Mariachis and even a churro cart.
With storm clouds looming overhead, these young lovebirds said their vows and proclaimed their everlasting love for one and other in front of their 45 emotional guests. Even as the heavens opened and the rain began to fall, smiles never left the lips of Lizzy and Bart while they took a stroll down the beach for their photo shoot with the amazing Button Up Photography team.
To keep spirits high, the Mariachi band serenaded their friends and family during a tropical cocktail hour while our team ensured that the dinner had been moved inside to a dry and beautiful location. With tables set, candles flickering, palm leaves swaying and fairy lights twinkling, the wedding party made their way into the stunning palapa to enjoy the wedding reception.
As if by magic, by the time dinner was over and the cake had been cut, the rain stopped and everyone moved outside to party under the stars. DJ Dulce Gomez from Big Band productions kept the tunes coming all night long and the guests never stopped grooving. Watching the happy couple dance with their toes in the sand, a canopy of glittering stars overhead and the sound of the waves gently kissing the shore is a sight their friends and family will never forget.
