A DREAMY PASTEL WEDDING AT VILLA LA JOYA

You know those weddings that little girls dream of? The ones with the elegant princess, flowers,and chandeliers, everything in white, soft pink and coral? Well, throw in stunning ocean views and a cool beach breeze and this was Aleli and Chris’ wedding at Villa la Joya. Thanks to the Mango Weddings and Events team, this dreamy wedding became a pastel perfect reality.

The loved up couple Aleli and Chris said “I do” on December the 31st, 2018 in front of 40 of their closest friends and family. This intimate wedding perfectly represented the bride and groom’s personal style with understated elegance and a bold flare throughout both their decor and wedding attire. Our hearts stopped as Aleli appeared at the top of the grand staircase in Villa la Joya in her intricately beaded wedding gown. Her hair was left loose to form soft waves that fell down her back and over her shoulders, with a little shimmering pop of color given by a pearled hair clip. Her bridesmaids wore soft pink dresses, each in a completely different style, allowing her girls to show their unique style. The groom and his groomsmen, on the other hand, wore bold black and white suits, creating the perfect juxtaposition next to our pastel princess bride and her bridesmaids.

As Aleli made her final touches to her hair and makeup, their guests were seated on a lush green lawn overlooking the soft waves of the Caribbean sea. Chris stood, waiting for his bride to be under an elegant wedding arch draped in white fabric and framed with delicate white flowers and tropical leaves. While Aleli and her father glided down the aisle to the harmonious sounds of a cello, harp and violin trio, the look on his face while he gave his little girl away was enough to bring tears to your eyes.

After a beautiful ceremony, Aleli and Chris read out their self-written vows that spoke about, true love, friendship, respect and their commitment to one another. After a spectacular first kiss as husband and wife, the wedding party retired to the villa to enjoy some refreshing popsicles and a cocktail or two. Meanwhile, the newlyweds slipped off to enjoy a photo shoot with the amazing Richelle Hunter, their carefully chosen photographer for their big day.

The wedding reception was held outside the picturesque villa, perfectly nestled between a flower-filled pool and a powdery white sand beach. It was important to Aleli and Chris to continue the dreamy pastel feel to the wedding breakfast, and Mango Weddings and Events made this happen through hanging chandeliers, twinkling fairy lights, huge pastel bouquets from a local florist and a delicate soft pink table runner.

After a delicious meal provided by Gourmet Soberanis catering, Chris had a little surprise for his wife. He joined the live band that was serenading their guests to sing her a beautiful medley of love songs. How could they top that you ask? Aleli and Chris ended the night with a breathtaking firework display, the perfect symbol of their fiery and powerful love for one another.
