Rita and George had done a lot of research prior to their big day and they knew exactly what they wanted; a luxury wedding filled with sophisticated elegance. The stunning Nizuc Resort was the perfect venue for them.

Although Rita and George came from LA for their destination wedding in Cancun, Rita had already attended two weddings at Nizuc resort, so there was no doubt in her mind that this was the place she and her hubby were going to tie the knot.

So that our loved up twosome could enjoy this luxury resort with their 101 friends and family, they threw a welcome white party on Nizuc beach the night before their wedding. After dancing until they dropped, the wedding party then retired to their luxe rooms to rest before the big day.

In the morning, Rita was pampered by her favourite makeup artist, Diana Biglari and a local hairstylist, Doranna. Meanwhile, George enjoyed a few shots of tequila with his groomsmen to calm his nerves before the ceremony. Our blushing bride chose a beautiful, formfitting peekaboo dress that gave her a killer silhouette and a bouquet of cascading white orchids by Vanessa Jaimes.  Once our bride and groom were looking their best, they snook off to enjoy a private first-look photoshoot with Gareth Davis, before reluctantly parting for their wedding ceremony to begin.

After the perfect shots had been captured, George stood waiting excitedly for his bride to join him under a beautiful circular wedding arch that was covered in feathers and white roses. Once their loved ones were seated and the acoustic duo began to play, Rita appeared at the end of the aisle on the arm of her loving father. To give their ceremony a truly personal feel, our couple chose a close friend to officiate their wedding. After many laughs, a few tears and lots of inside jokes, Rita and George finally said “I do”.

The wedding party then retired to the grand Sian Ka’an ballroom to await the newlyweds. This particular wedding reception venue has breathtaking ceiling to floor windows, so you can dine while watching the sunset over the lush Mayan jungle. To give this room the sophisticated elegance that Rita and George wanted, it was decorated with a classic white and gold theme, complete with white roses and flickering candles.

After a delicious meal and Champagne toast, Rita and George took to the large dance floor to enjoy their first dance as husband and wife. Their elegant dance came to an end with a firework finale, marking the opening of the dance floor for their guests. One thing we have to say about this wedding party is that they knew how to party. The DJ kept everyone dancing long into the early morning hours.

It was an absolute pleasure to plan this sophisticated luxury wedding for such an energetic and meticulous couple. Everyone at Mango Weddings & Events wish Rita and George every happiness and many many more years of adventure to come.
