Lynne and TJ knew exactly how they wanted their dream Jungle wedding in Tulum to go, and no amount of clouds or rain were going to dampen their spirits on their big day.
Our blushing bride started the morning relaxing in her beachfront room with her family, before putting on her beautiful backless-dress and tropical heels. Although it had been raining continuously throughout the morning, the skies cleared just before the wedding, so our couple could have the beach ceremony they’d always dreamed of.
As TJ waited with his feet in the sand in front of their impressive pampas grass wedding arch, Lynne appeared at the end of the aisle, a vision in white. You could truly feel the love emanating from their friends and family as she made her way to join the love of her life. After the heartfelt vows and “I do’s” had been said, the heavens opened and the wedding party made their way to the covered reception area.
Akiin Tulum is a great option for a rainy wedding as they have both an outside and inside reception option. So, no matter what the weather brings, everyone can still have a great time. Akiin Tulum also provides all their guests with large umbrellas, so everyone can move around the venue with ease and comfort.
Our bride wanted to bring lots of dark and moody elements into her wedding, so we added black tableware, deep green tropical plants and large flickering candles. The rainy weather, paired with the amazing skills of Memory Box Photography, also gave Lynne and TJ those dramatic and dark shots they were looking for to commemorate their special day.
To add a little whimsy to their rainy jungle wedding, our couple opted for large LED bar signs and signature cocktails based on their two beloved dogs. They also provided their guests with some stunning lounge areas to give a more relaxed and informal vibe to their reception.
After their guests had enjoyed a delicious meal, a churro cart was wheeled in for dessert and the amazing female DJ Dulce Rullan began to play. Everyone was up and dancing in no time and spent the rest of the evening laughing, grooving and making memories to last a lifetime.
It was a magical experience to see such a positive and happy couple throughout their rainy jungle wedding in Akiin Tulum. At Mango Weddings and Events, we understand that sometimes the weather doesn’t cooperate, so we always ensure we have a plan B for the reception and lots of umbrellas on hand. Thank you Lynne and TJ for allowing us to make your wedding dreams come true, we wish you many years of love and happiness to come.
