PAPAYA PLAYA PROJECT

Every wedding venue we collaborate with offers a unique and special experience to our couples. Papaya Playa Project is no different. Located in Tulum, Mexico, the beachfront property features a variety of artistic, authentic, and comfortable spaces to stay along with features such as live performances and a rejuvenating spa. All of this and more made the Papaya Playa Project wedding venue a must-visit for Jacqueline and Frank, and we were more than thrilled to design a plan that would bring their dream wedding there to life.

The Papaya Playa Project wedding venue stretches across 900 meters of pristine beach space, which is over half a mile of exclusive access to the Caribbean.

To relax while enjoying that exclusive access, the Papaya Playa Project wedding venue offers its guests a choice between villas, casitas, and cabañas. Each features a design inspired by authentic Mayan culture mixed with modern-day comfort, artistic sensibilities, and a focus on sustainability. Each also includes a breathtaking view of the beach from the comfort of a cabana or lounge chair, rooftop pool, or loft space, in addition to minimalist boho decor that will make wedding pictures just beautiful. They include a private ceremony and reception venue too.

Depending on the space chosen, they can offer accommodations for just the couple all the way up to groups of ten. As an example, Casa Palapa, the largest villa, features five air-conditioned bedrooms, which is ideal for brides and grooms who want to get ready without seeing one another. It also includes 24-hour personalized butler service and a rooftop terrace, among many other must-have amenities.

A wedding venue is only an empty space without a loving couple and their guests to fill it though. So, we were overjoyed when Jacqueline and Frank chose the Papaya Playa Project wedding venue for their ceremony. We knew they’d love it based on our conversations with them, learning about their love for Mexico and Tulum.

For their Papaya Playa Project wedding, we planned a boat tour and welcome dinner for the couple and their guests to enjoy. The boat tour took them across the clear, emerald waters of the Caribbean, while the welcome dinner featured authentic Mexican cuisine.

On their wedding day, they enjoyed a private yoga class. They were already relaxed for their day though, trusting us to take care of everything. Some highlights from their day include the coconut seating chart, the couple jumping into the pool, the fact that their wedding was barefoot, the mariachis we had play after the ceremony, and the bride-to-be sticking her finger in her fiance’s ear for the first look.

Since we always stay on-site throughout the entirety of the wedding day, making sure everything continues to go smoothly for our couples, we get a front-row seat to the party at the reception too. We are happy to say Jacqueline, Frank, and all their guests continued their fun-loving ways by partying the night away.

If you’re ready to plan your own dream wedding, we’d love to hear from you. Let us take care of the hard work so you can relax and have a blast, just like Jacqueline and Frank did. We’re ready when you are.
