Destination weddings are an exciting way to tie the knot with your significant other. We also know they can be stressful, which is why we love taking the stress off our couples’ shoulders as we help them plan their weddings. Isabela and Kegan opted for a Banyan Tree Mayakoba wedding, and we couldn’t have been happier to help them relax and turn it into something special.

Their multi-day wedding began with a welcome party, so we’ll start there too.

Welcome parties are sometimes an overlooked part of a wedding, destination or not. But when it came to Isabela and Kegan’s Banyan Tree Mayakoba wedding, they wanted their welcome party and wedding on the beach. Without the Banyan Tree Mayakoba wedding venue, this wouldn’t have been as easy or special. It’s just one of many reasons we love suggesting it to couples and planning their weddings there with them.

In addition to convenience and a subtle, natural decor, thanks to the Banyan Tree Mayakoba wedding venue, Isabela and Kegan’s welcome party was full of authentic food, drinks, hand-rolled cigars, and plenty of beach space to enjoy conversation, laughter, and fun. Their celebration carried all the way into the night, which even included a rousing toast or two.

As planned, Isabela, Kegan, and their wedding guests returned to the beach for their wedding ceremony the next day. Beach weddings are tricky due to the wind, sand, and water. The Banyan Tree Mayakoba wedding venue keeps this in mind, though, and it’s another one of the many reasons we love suggesting it to our couples. This is evident in touches such as the wooden access path leading straight to the ceremony site and the golf carts that help guests get there.

Owing to that convenience and forethought, it wasn’t long before everything got underway either. The blue skies held only a smattering of clouds during Isabela and Kegan’s ceremony, but their guests were all smiling. Standing in front of the square arch, Isabela and Kegan were the perfect couple, looking calm, cool, and collected.

As their guests watched, they held hands, read their vows, said, “I do,” and kissed. Those same guests showered them with flower petals as, hand-in-hand and now husband and wife, they walked back up the access path to start their new lives together.

But their Banyan Tree Mayakoba wedding wasn’t done quite yet. There was still the reception to do, which took place at MK Blue, an outdoor area that can hold at least 500 guests and sits comfortably beneath a rooftop. It comes complete with stage lights and a gentle design that adds elegance to any event without getting in the way of it.

Isabela, Kegan, and their guests took full advantage of the space. While dancing, Kegan even picked Isabela up and did a little turn. It was a confident move and a great way to celebrate.

A series of memorable toasts followed, bringing smiles to the bride and groom. Then it was time to dance. We’re always big fans of parent dances at receptions. No one picked anyone up, but they were still a beautiful and respectful way to honor wedding traditions.

The night finished off with lots of activities, including everyone taking to the dance floor and letting loose. The stage lights provided a nice, colorful ambiance that helped get everyone moving.

As we bring this Banyan Tree Mayakoba wedding story to a close, we’re reminded of why we do what we do. We don’t need much reminding since we’re hard at work every day, but looking back at events like this one reinforces why we do all that hard work. It’s to help people like Isabela, Kegan, and all their wedding guests, create experiences worth looking back on.

So, if you’d like to create your own memorable experiences with us, please let us know. We’re always happy to help couples find what works for them and what doesn’t. If that’s a Banyan Tree Mayakoba wedding, we highly recommend it. And if you’re looking for something else, we’ll help you find it and plan that out too.

We look forward to hearing from you.
