Bride & Groom:

A high powered couple that came together thanks to their love of EDM music needed a luxury wedding with an extravagant party to match. The stunning Nizuc Resort & Spa was the perfect venue for this loved up twosome to tie the knot.

To bring their families together, Mike and Joanna threw an all-white welcome party the night before their wedding, complete with heartfelt speeches and music from a live Mariachi band. Although the cocktails were flowing, everyone retired to their rooms fairly early to be fresh and prepared for the big day.

After receiving breakfast in bed and a much-needed massage to calm the nerves, our bride Joanna started her makeup and hair with the ever so talented Angye Abarca. She chose a beautiful form-fitting wedding dress, that gave her a million dollar silhouette, and a romantic, flowing half-up hairstyle. Once our bride and groom were ready, they snuck off to enjoy a relaxed ‘first-look’ photoshoot, before they joined everyone at the ceremony.

Once those perfect shots had been taken by the TropicPic team, Mike made his way to the ceremony to await his stunning bride. Joanna took the wedding party’s breath away as she began to walk down the aisle on the arm of her proud father. Our couple chose to have their ceremony under an impressive stone arch, overlooking the aquatic gardens in Nizuc, the perfect backdrop for their luxury wedding.

Our loved up couple chose one of Mikes life-long friends to officiate the marriage, which made for one extremely beautiful and personal wedding ceremony. Many private jokes, a few tears and countless laughs were shared before Mike and Joanna finally said those magic words, “I do”.

After a truly heartfelt ceremony, their wedding guests made their way to a cocktail reception while the newlyweds left to enjoy a sun-set photoshoot and prepare for their grand entrance to their wedding reception. There’s only one word that can describe their wedding reception decor; exquisite. The Sian Kaan Ballroom at Nizuc Resort & Spa has impressive ceiling to floor windows overlooking a lush jungle, a giant dance floor marked by a grand circular chandelier that’s dripping with crystals and plenty of seating room for all of their guests to relax in. However, what made this venue even more luxurious were the pastel pink floral centrepieces made by Vanessa Jaimes, complete with floating candles and glass baubles.

Joanna and Mike entered the room to a roar of shouts and claps as they began their first dance as husband and wife. An epic finale of fireworks and cascading sparklers marked the beginning of the party. As the EDM music pumped, all of their guests took to the dance floor to celebrate the unique and everlasting love of our newlyweds.

It was an absolute pleasure to plan and execute such a lavish and classy wedding for Joanna and Mike. They were a pleasure to work with and it was an honour to make their dream wedding a reality. We wish them a lifetime of happiness, love and of course, dancing.
