AN INTIMATE BOHO-LUXE WEDDING AT SECRET JEWEL

Nestled amongst the palm trees on the white sand coast of Playa del Carmen is Secret Jewel, the perfect venue for Myles and Samantha’s intimate boho-luxe wedding.

Our happy couple met in Pennsylvania and 8 years later decided to tie the knot in a location worthy of their love for travel. Apart from the privacy that Secret Jewel offers its guests, one of the unique thing about this wedding venue is that it offers a room for the wedding party to get ready in, a stunning space for a beach ceremony and a perfect area for the wedding reception and dance floor. 

Samantha took full advantage of the bright and preparation suite at Secret Jewel, while she had her hair and makeup meticulously done by the team at Vo Evolution. She even had some time to enjoy a glass of bubbly with her mother and bridesmaids before donning her stunning backless, lace wedding dress by Enzoani. To follow their organic white and green colour scheme, our bride to be Samantha chose an elegant bouquet made up of tropical leaves and impressive White King Protea flowers. 

Once Myles and Samantha were ready, then snook away to enjoy a first look photoshoot with Sea and Love Wedding Films. As soon as Myles turned and saw his beautiful bride, you could physically see their nerves melt away. After a few stolen kisses and creative photos, the love birds separated to get the wedding ceremony underway.

Their intimate ceremony was held on the private beach at Secret Jewel, and the white chairs, swaying palm trees and unique geometrical wedding arch made for the perfect boho-luxe setting. As Samantha appeared at the end of the aisle, a hush fell over the wedding party as everyone took in this breathtaking vision in white. To keep everyone present and in the moment, Myles and Samantha decided to make their ceremony an unplugged event, so all phones and cameras had to either be left at the end of the aisle or turned off.

After the very personal vows, filled with inside jokes and intimate promises, the wedding party retired to enjoy the live mariachi band while sipping on ice-cold coconuts and margaritas. Finally, it was time to eat a Mexican inspired wedding dinner worthy of our chef Myles. Both the meal and dance floor were situated under a canopy of twinkling lights, which gave such a romantic and cosy feel. 

To keep their guests busy, our newlyweds opted for a branded photo wall, LED dance floor and an energetic DJ that kept their guests dancing all night long. We’ve never seen a wedding party love to dance quite as much as Myles and Samantha’s. Wild dance moves, flowing drinks and more laughter than we could ever describe made for the perfect end to this intimate, simple boho-luxe wedding at Secret Jewel.

It was such a pleasure to have been able to make Myles and Samantha’s wedding dreams a reality. They were such an absolute pleasure to work with and we wish them every happiness and many more travels and adventures to come.
