Jennifer and Danish’s beautiful oceanfront wedding was a multicultural celebration enjoyed by their family and friends. With their destination wedding at the Grand Velas Maya, they enjoyed new levels of luxury with beautiful beaches, gourmet food and elite amenities for the whole wedding.
As their lavish wedding day started, the bridal party gathered in the resort to get ready with the bride and the groom. They did not skimp on the details of their special day. The bridal suite was decked out with balloons, and both sentimental and humorous gifts were shared amongst all. Jennifer’s hair and makeup team from Vo Evolution pampered her as she prepared for the rest of her wedding day.
Like Jennifer and Danish, many of our couples choose to do a first look before the ceremony. This gave them precious time on the wedding day to spend with each other. Danish wore a classic black tuxedo while Jennifer donned a fitted modern gown with a detailed lace overlay. The bridal portraits utilized a number of breathtaking backdrops on the Grand Velas Maya property. From luscious tropical gardens to pristine beachfront views, the couple’s love shone brightly against the beautiful backdrops.
After the family photos and group wedding photos were finished, the day seamlessly flowed into the ceremony on the beach. Danish’s costume change marked the transition to the more cultural parts of the ceremony. The unity sand ceremony perfectly represented the blending of the two’s love, families and traditions!
Even though the rain graced their outdoor ceremony, it didn’t put a damper on the festivities. With a few dozen umbrellas, Amor Amor Weddings still captured some stunning wedding photos of the ceremony with guests sheltered from the rain. The wooden deck flooring also provided an upscale touch that prevented the rain from spoiling the formal affair.
With the ceremony underway, the final touches on the reception were being put into place by our team. From custom table seating signs and photo guest books to sweetheart tables and monogrammed dance floors, all the details big and small were added to the ballroom. The candlelight in hurricane vases, florals from Pure Love Floral Design, and mirrored surfaces around the Grand Velas Maya reception venue added an air of decadence that carried the guests into the night. The delicious dessert table topped off the gourmet menu with chocolate covered strawberries, mini cheesecakes, and cupcakes.
Jennifer and Danish didn’t shy away from over the top entertainment for their guests. The confetti drop during the first dance had the audience on their feet and Uno Audio Visual DJs kept them dancing through the night. Eventually, we broke out the sombreros on the dance floor to celebrate not only the couple’s unique heritages as well as the culture of their destination wedding as well.
Though the wedding was not without its challenges, Jennifer and Danish’s delightfully decadent destination wedding was everything we hoped it would be. At the end of the day, the most important part of every wedding is the unification of two families on the happiest day of their lives.
